The Foundation Year Network exists to represent, promote and support:

  • good practice in foundation year provision
  • the academic and scholarly activities of foundation year practitioners
  • continuing professional development opportunities for foundation year practitioners
  • diversity of provision for entry into higher education

The Journal of the Foundation Year Network is a peer-reviewed journal founded in 2018 to promote these aims by proividing a platform for foundation year researchers and practitioners to share knowledge, research and good practice and to promote wider understanding of foundation years within and beyond the HE sector.

We operate with a small, volunteer, editorial board and publish once a year, in advance of each year's Foundation Year Network Annual Conference.

Many of the articles we publish started out as papers at the Conference, but we welcome submissions at any time.
